We’re showing 100 percent charge and a range of 475km. Except there’s no wireless phone charging, annoyingly. I forget to remind them we’re not on solar so the emissions have just moved from the tailpipe to the polluting power station. Day 4: Let’s charge. Well, maybe that Bose audio.

VW quotes a maximum charging rate of 170 kilowatts, and DC fast charging from 10 to 80 percent of battery capacity in about 20 minutes (under ideal circumstances). On one hand, it’s a retro re-creation of a beloved vehicular icon from a Boomer past. The third row can be removed entirely.

Ford and whatever it is they call Chrysler this week didn’t even bother to show up. Get to know Coulomb they make the CHARGEPOINT charging stations and they make them good. Their chargers were all over the exhibit floor charging every EV there. May I charge your EV sir? At least GM did a Disney display.

Finally, in a first-of-its-kind partnership in the United States, Mitsubishi announced a strategic alliance with Oregon to develop an electric car charging infrastructure in the state. The big problems now is how to create a battery that can charge rapidly and infrastructure to charge them. If you charge with solar, is way less.
