The Chinese electrified vehicle maker Leapmotor will launch in Australia in late 2024 as part of an international expansion backed by global auto giant Stellantis. Beyond that it has a variety of existing models it could add here quickly including the Mini-sized T03 electric car that has already been confirmed for European sale.

An all-electric version of the C3 hatchback is already on sale in India. Citroën is also trying to boost sales by exporting the eC3 from India, but this has unfortunately been low.

Shaefer told auto motor and sport only 80% of the maximum forecast sales volume for new models will be planned for production.
