Ballard to supply fuel cell module for Connecticut bus

Ballard Power Systems signed a supply agreement with the Center for Transportation and the Environment for a 150 kW FCvelocity-HD6 fuel cell module to be integrated into a bus that will be deployed with CTTransit in Hartford, Connecticut. Following WHTC2013, Azure is expected to redeploy the system to another as yet unnamed location in China.

US Hybrid unveils new Class 8 fuel cell port drayage truck for San Pedro Ports

US Hybrid plans to expand its Connecticut production facility via a partnership with China-based Jiangsu Dewei Advanced Materials. The expansion of production facilities in US and China will enable the company to build and deliver 2,000 fuel cell engines per year in the US and additional 2,000 engines in China.

FTA Report on Worldwide H2 Bus Demonstrations Finds Better Than Expected Performance and Strong Customer Acceptance; Challenges Remain

The US Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has published a report summarizing interviews with participants in the hydrogen-powered buses trials underway in more than 20 cities around the world from 2002 to 2007.
