Coulomb Technologies unveiled San Francisco's first ChargePoint America charge stations yesterday in a Priority Parking lot along the Embarcadero. The charge stations and installations were paid for with federal stimulus and California Energy Commission grants won by Coulomb. Nissan LEAF buyers are excluded.

The ChargePoint America program's Chargers are made by Coulomb Technologies. The first nine communities to participate are: Sacramento, Los Angeles the San Francisco Bay-San Jose area, New York City, Orlando, Austin, Detroit, Washington and Redmond, Wash. A $2,000 value!). Ford, General Motors and Smart are partners.
