Bannon will use technology based on that developed by REVA Electric Car Company Private, Ltd., RECC) to build REVA’s NXR model ( earlier post ), which was recently introduced to the public at the Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany. REVA, India’s first zero polluting electric vehicle for city mobility, was commercialized in June 2001.

To facilitate these EVs, Charging stations are being put in place by local councils, making even short range electric cars viable for commuters.
