SGH2 building largest green hydrogen production facility in California; gasification of waste into H2

Green Car Congress

The plant will feature SGH2’s technology, which will gasify recycled mixed paper waste to produce green hydrogen that reduces carbon emissions by two to three times more than green hydrogen produced using electrolysis and renewable energy, and is five to seven times cheaper. That’s why our partnership with SGH2 is so important.

Global CO2 emissions stalled for the third year in a row

Green Car Congress

The report provides updated results on the continuous monitoring of the three main greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide (CO 2 ), methane (CH 4 ) and nitrous oxide (N 2 O). CH 4 is mainly generated by agricultural activities, the production of coal and gas, as well as waste treatment and disposal. Other greenhouse gases keep creeping up.

DNV GL paper suggests near-term success for LNG in shipping; alternative fuel mix to diversify over time

Green Car Congress

While renewable energy, particularly solar and wind, may have some potential to mitigate carbon emissions, this is not seen as a viable large-scale alternative for commercial shipping. In this case GHG and other pollutants will still be emitted, but they can be reduced through exhaust gas cleaning systems or carbon capture and storage.
