Business Green Blog in the UK reports on a plan to install 250 EV charging stations in England. The congestion charge in London has spurred electric car availability and sales. As a daily driver of a Toyota-built electric car here in California, I'm all in favor of public charging stations and fast charging.

If they force noice makers on Hybrids and EVs, this will be yet another break down in common sense. My friend (same one who made the ice cream truck sound effect comment to me) asked me if this was some kind of conspiracy from gasoline advocates to try and further delay mass acceptance of EVs. I have stated the same before.

Fleet vehicles are perfect for EVs, since the routes are very predictable and tend to be within 100 miles per day. Along with Tedd Abramson’s Zero Truck in San Diego and Smith Trucks in London, we now have EVI (I keep wanting to write that as EV1:~).
