We did not go in for mix mode because we wanted to find out what is the maximum juice that can be extracted out of the pack. Even petrol vehicles are prone to fires, even after a hundred years of engineering. The build quality is good. (We use sum of actual km run and DTE displayed to get to the end value.)

My suggestion to the company would be to actually build a grounds-up EV. Go to petrol pump owners and find out who are people who are big time consumers. The company is in the middle of evaluating which of the models to electrify next. Candidates are: Safari, Punch and Altroz. The minimum monthly fuel bill that they run up is Rs.

It is thought that the cars that Renault is building to function with the Better Place model will have the ability to have its power supply swapped and the newly announced Tesla Model S is said to also incorporate this concept. No single vehicle does it all even in todays petrol world. Battery swapping has its critics.
