Toyota Motors has joined the London Hydrogen Partnership (LHP), the first major automaker to do so. The LHP was set up in 2002 to develop a network of hydrogen fuel cell (HFC) stakeholders in the capital and help develop HFC technologies in London.

Air Products has signed a contract with Sorensen Gross Construction Services to build a hydrogen fueling station in Flint, Michigan to fuel a hydrogen fuel cell bus owned by Flint’s Mass Transportation Authority (MTA). Use of the company's technology is increasing and is currently over 350,000 hydrogen fills per year.

The Australian hydrogen fuel cell electric start-up H2X Global says its delayed Ford Ranger-based Warrego ute is now targeting an on-sale date by mid-2023 in Australia and Europe. Most of them will be built and sold in Europe, in order to leverage a more widespread hydrogen refuelling infrastructure there than in Australia.

The mayor of London, Boris Johnson is planning to help create Britain’s first hydrogen highway to promote the use of fuel cell vehicles, according to The Times. Johnson intends to introduce a scheme to promote the zero-emission hydrogen fuelled cars modelled on the one introduced in California, by state governor Arnold Schwartznegger.

Hyundai Motor Company has joined the London Hydrogen Partnership (LHP). The LHP has initiated more than £50 million (US$76 million) worth of hydrogen projects, attracting and rolling-out new hydrogen buses, taxis, scooters, refueling stations, materials handling vehicles and fuel cell Combined Heat and Power units to London.
