Jeep is taking orders in Europe for the Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe plug-in hybrids ( earlier post )—the first electrified Jeep models in the EMEA Region. seconds, a top speed of 130 km/h in full electric and up to 200 km/h in hybrid mode. The system has three operating modes: Hybrid, Electric, and E-save.

The PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), a subset of the electric car, combines a primary electric motor with a much smaller back-up engine fueled with a hydrocarbon/biofuel mix. (In In this paper PHEV refers solely to the long-range PHEV of 60 miles (100 km) electric-only range.) It is much more than that.

They added an integrated electric motor to the 745’s 6-cylinder combustion engine a year ago, creating the 745e xDrive Plug-In Hybrid. The hybrid achieves 0 to 60mph in 4.9 Top speed is 130mph.
