The BMW Group’s Efficient Dynamics strategy is targeting reductions in fuel consumption and CO 2 emissions while at the same time increasing performance. In battery electric vehicles (BEVs) or automobiles using plug-in hybrid technology (PHEVs), the Efficient Dynamics strategy is aimed primarily at increasing the electric range.

BMW Connected, a new personal mobility companion, made its world debut at Microsoft Build 2016, Microsoft’s developer conference, last week. The first version—called BMW Connected North America—is now available at the Apple App Store to BMW ConnectedDrive customers in the US for iOS devices.

BMW Group and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) concerning a mid-to-long-term collaboration on next-generation environment-friendly technologies. The battery technology that we will develop with BMW will be the core technology for both reducing and replacing petroleum fuel.

The Terra 23 is designed for areas where EV drivers plan to stay 30-60 minutes, such as retail locations, commercial office environments and EV auto dealerships. This past summer ABB participated in interoperability workshops with BMW and Volkswagen demonstrating successful charging of the next generation CCS compatible EVs.
