In cities in the US, researchers have found that transportation pollution causes 25% of all new childhood asthma cases. Also, the majority of these vehicles sit unused during the summer when electricity demands are often the highest and take the greatest toll on the power grid.

It is aggressively in talks with Portland General Electric Plug-In Charging Stations , ( POR ) and other states including Michigan, and California that are scrambling to offer incentives. The electricity for recharging has to come from somewhere, which means power plants. Oh, but theres that nasty carbon based fuel again.
