Launched in 2014, the smart two-seater is built at Daimler’s Hambach plant, France, whereas both four-seater vehicles are produced at Renault’s plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. The battery of the new smart electric drive is produced by the Daimler subsidiary, Deutsche ACCUmotive, in Kamenz, Germany.

Test engineers chose a route across Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Bulgaria for the trip. The batteries of all the electric trucks were only charged at publicly available charging stations throughout the tour. The electric semitrailer tractor is based on the same technology as the eActros 300/400.

Maxus is presenting a range of zero emission EV80 battery electric vans at the 67 th IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hannover. Four variants of the new range of zero-emissions EV80 battery electric vehicles are on display in Hannover, and two Maxus EV80 vans are available for visitors to test drive.
