The new EX60 will rival premium models from Tesla, Porsche, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. The new EV will compete against premium SUVs like the Tesla Model Y , Porsche Macan EV, and Mercedes-Benz EQC. Volvo’s first electric minivan, the EM90 (source: Volvo) The EX60 will feature a new “structural” battery pack, similar to BYD and Tesla.

Porsche is now the fourth German OEM to realign its motorsport strategy this year to enter Formula E, following Audi ( earlier post ), BMW ( earlier post ) and Mercedes-Benz ( earlier post ). Porsche is working with alternative, innovative drive concepts.

Porsche has introduced the 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid sports car, the first of six or more plug-in hybrids coming from the Volkswagen Group. The final Porsche 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid ( earlier post ) has come off the line in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen according to schedule. The hybrid super sports concept car made its debut at the 2010 Geneva International Motor Show, and was launched on the market as a limited series in late 2013.
