Baltimore City is planning to replace several diesel-powered school buses with electric units later this month, serving 350 students with zero-emission transportation to school every day. Baltimore also made a relatively recent announcement that it plans to electrify its entire fleet of vehicles by 2030.

The Plug-In Partners campaign has now surpassed 6,000 fleet orders. Soft” fleet orders are a critical component of the Plug-In Partners goal of demonstrating to automakers that a market exists for flexible fuel plug-in hybrids. As fleet orders increase, city governments around the country also continue to join the coalition.

Clean Fleet Report will write a much more detailed Road Test review after getting in the Kona for more than a couple hours.
