The 2018 Hybrid and Plug-in will be produced in Asan, Korea, with Hybrid availability in the first quarter of 2018 and Plug-in availability in the second quarter of 2018. It is possible for Sonata Hybrid to operate solely on electric power at speeds up to 75 mph by decoupling the gasoline engine from the rest of the drivetrain.

We turned 0-60 mph times of about 4.9 The two-line LED lights are a signature Genesis design, front and rear. The popular fastback design has sleek roofline, leading to a gentle built-in lip spoiler on the hands-free power trunk. Acceleration in Comfort drive mode was strong, but select the Sport mode and it becomes exciting.

Hyundai will initially offer the Sonata Plug-in Hybrid in the ZEV states—California, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont—in 2015. EV mode, or all-electric battery charge depleting mode, can handle speeds up to approximately 75 mph (121 km/h).
