Louisiana Attorney General, Jeff Landry, who recently just announced he was running for governor next year, defended dealerships that are named in a lawsuit brought by Tesla. . Tesla also pointed out that there’s collusion between Louisiana’s automobile regulators and the dealerships trying to suppress competition. .

This decision goes against the wishes of the Virginia Automobiles Dealers Association (VADA), which will not plan a legal challenge. Tesla will still need to obtain a license issued by the Motor Vehicle Dealer Board to have permission to operate as a car sales entity.
