National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS)—the rebirthed Saab—and Dongfeng Motor Corporation (Dongfeng) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to achieve global industrial synergies. Dongfeng Motor Corporation (DFM) is the third biggest Chinese state-owned automobile manufacturer headquartered in Wuhan, Hubei Province.

Polestar is reportedly taking over Saab's defunct plant in Sweden to expand upon its European research and development operations. The site was last used by National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) after Saab folded in 2011. While the Polestar 3 and 4 haven’t yet gone on sale, they’ll also be sharing space.

National Electric Vehicle Sweden ( NEVS ) and the Chinese company Panda New Energy Co., NEVS acquired the main assets of the former Saab Automobile in 2012. In early 2015 the last Saab 9-3 of model year 2014 was sold out in Sweden. NEVS says it is now focusing on developing new cars.
