A new study sponsored by Indiana University concludes that President Obama’s vision of one million plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) on US roads by 2015 will require concentrated efforts action from all stakeholders— the auto industry, federal government, the scientific community, and consumers—to be realized.

Well, America’s auto industry delivered over 100,000. That helped us become the world’s greatest industrial power. It helps that the auto industry will be building more efficient new vehicles. We won’t need new power plants, since we have enough off-peak electricity to recharge as many retrofits as we can build.

Electric Cars and The Volt Can Transform America and the Auto Industry TODAY!!! Also, power plants will reduce emissions overtime making electric cars cleaner per vehicle once the stationary source that powers the vehicle gets cleaner. 1) Electric cars are zero emission vehicles. 2) Electric cars cost pennies to charge.

The pure electric vehicles, for reserve, must carry heavy and expensive batteries—which add expense as well as weight—and must have access to high-powered recharging stations [ 1 ]. Furthermore, even the older version PHEV can recharge at a slow rate using local solar, wind, water-derived or other net zero CO 2 fuel.
