Here in the UK we’re so downtrodden by extortionate petrol prices that the prospect of driving fuel efficient green cars carries obvious appeal. However, what about our US neighbours where ‘gas’ prices are distinctly lower and so-called muscle cars are seen as almost iconic and part of the culture?

Riversimple shot to fame in June 2009 when they unveiled arguably the most exciting development for British green car technology yet; the two-seater Riversimple hydrogen prototype. I believe that all three barriers are very real for the auto industry but they are not true in any absolute sense.

Lutz, who retired earlier this year, called the car Detroits "moon shot" and an attempt to wrest the mantle of innovation back from the Japanese. GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. I cant stand all these "GM killed the electric car" crap.
