This week, the company announced plans to start testing in Miami, Florida, and Austin, Texas, as it looks to begin commercial ride-hailing operations in the cities it’s already established in. This past March, Zoox offered an update to its robotaxi taxi operations in its current cities, expanding operational hours and routes.

The three companies recently signed an agreement to this effect and agreed not to disclose the details of the transaction. This proposed agreement will add 14 major European cities and 10,000 vehicles to Free2move’s existing car sharing fleet of 2,500 vehicles. Portland, Oregon, Denver, Colorado, Columbus, Ohio and Austin, Texas.

A fleet of 500 taxis navigated by computers, often with no safety drivers in them for backup, buzz around. The company that operates them, tech giant Baidu, said last month that it would add another 1,000 of the so-called robot taxis in Wuhan. The government is providing the companies significant help.
