The first ‘Project Nina’ derivative will be a mid-size premium sedan utilizing Fisker’s Ever (electric vehicle with extended range) technology. The BMW engine was an obvious choice for us, as BMW is known for producing the best and most fuel efficient gasoline engines in the world.

General Motors announced a demonstration project ( earlier post ) to explore market needs and customer acceptance of battery electric vehicles in Korea. The project involves a fleet of electric vehicles based on the Chevrolet Cruze. This is a key initiative in GM’s global battery and electric vehicle development strategy.

The vehicle was developed by Shanghai GM and the Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), making it the first production electric vehicle created by a Chinese joint venture. In addition, the car will qualify for a free local Shanghai license plate exclusively for electric vehicles. The top speed is 130 km/h (81 mph).
