Nissan announced that it plans to launch three new electric vehicles and five e-POWER models in Japan by the end of fiscal 2022 (31 March 2023). Nissan expects electric vehicles and e-POWER models to make up 40% of sales in Japan by the end of the company’s 2022 fiscal year. Under the wider Nissan M.O.V.E.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance and Daimler AG are expanding their five-year strategic cooperation ( earlier post ) into the pickup truck segment. Together, Nissan and Daimler will develop a 1-ton pickup truck for Mercedes-Benz. The primary target markets for the truck are Europe, Australia, South Africa and Latin America.

Daimler AG will make investments in the high nine figures (euro) in the new model series by the time of the market launch. The key markets will be Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Australia with New Zealand, and Europe. The pickup will be manufactured in a production cooperation with the Renault-Nissan Alliance.
