Córdoba (Argentina) City Council and Renault-Nissan Alliance Sign EV LOI

Nissan Frontier Sentinel pickup concept unveiled in São Paulo; two LEAF battery packs

Nissan unveiled the Frontier Sentinel, a concept pickup truck designed by Nissan Brazil’s styling studio, at the 2018 São Paulo Motor Show. Frontier Sentinel integrates a host of features, including two battery packs from the Nissan LEAF to deliver auxiliary power. Argentina will join the program in 2019. 100% electric.

Nissan to launch 3 new EVs and 5 new e-POWER models in Japan by FY2022; 100K LEAFs sold in Japan

Daimler & Renault-Nissan Alliance expand cooperation to 1-ton pickup trucks

The Renault-Nissan Alliance and Daimler AG are expanding their five-year strategic cooperation ( earlier post ) into the pickup truck segment. Together, Nissan and Daimler will develop a 1-ton pickup truck for Mercedes-Benz. Production of Renault’s 1-ton truck will begin in 2016 at Nissan’s plant in Cuernavaca, Mexico.
