Volvo Car USA and Canada reports regional sales of 11,768 cars in August, up 31.6 So far this year the Volvo Car USA and Canada region sold 89,014 cars, an increase of 22.9 The company’s line of Recharge models, those with a fully electric or plug-in hybrid powertrain, represented 25.3 percent of all US.

The all-electric Volvo C40 Recharge is available online via volvocars.com in select markets across Europe as of this week. The propulsion system consists of twin electric motors, one on the front and one on the rear axle, powered by a 78 kWh battery that can be fast-charged to 80% in about 40 minutes.

German car company Volkswagen announced that it had delivered 122,100 all-electric vehicles globally in the third quarter of 2021, doubling its tally from the same period a year before. Volkswagen, however, is serious about its efforts to transition into a fully electric company.
