The updated trucks, which were originally purchased in September 2015, deliver up to four times the fuel economy of a gasoline-powered vehicle, UPS said. The trucks will be deployed in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Nevada, Ohio and Texas later this year. The small ICE could be outfitted for gasoline, propane, or CNG.

They found that hybrid and alternative fuel vehicles (especially electric cars) easily saved their owners money when looking at the purchase price, fuel costs and regular maintenance. The motors that electric vehicles use have fewer moving parts than their gasoline-powered counterparts and don’t require oil changes.

The gas power Toyota’s hybrid automatically switches between the electric drive mode, combined electric motor and gasoline engine, and gasoline-only engine power. It was noticeable when the gasoline engine engaged, which is something the Toyota hybrid system usually does not to.

Laredo Bus Facility Solar Canopies: Provide shade structures with integrated, grid tied photovoltaic cells to be erected on the bus storage lot at the Laredo Bus Maintenance Facility. It would also fund stationary fuel cells to provide primary and emergency back-up power for the bus maintenance and storage facilities.
