As far back as 2016, Volkswagen unveiled a Tiguan PHEV concept, based on the second-generation Tiguan. In spring 2020, the Volkswagen Tiguan broke the production barrier of six million units, with 910,926 units manufactured in 2019 alone. In October 2019, Volkswagen added a plug-in hybrid drivetrain for the Chinese model.

Hyundai presented its PBV concept as one of the smart mobility solutions at CES 2020 earlier this month. In September 2019, Hyundai and Kia also invested in IONITY, Europe’s largest high-power electric vehicle charging network, and set the stage for sales expansion of EVs within Europe.

TomTom AutoStream has launched with two initial partners: Baidu and Zenuity, while TomTom MotionQ can be seen in the new Rinspeed Snap, a robo-taxi concept vehicle,also revealed for the first time at CES. TomTom’s HD Map already covers the USA, Western Europe and Japan with over 380,000 km of highways and interstates mapped.
