As far back as 2016, Volkswagen unveiled a Tiguan PHEV concept, based on the second-generation Tiguan. In spring 2020, the Volkswagen Tiguan broke the production barrier of six million units, with 910,926 units manufactured in 2019 alone. In October 2019, Volkswagen added a plug-in hybrid drivetrain for the Chinese model.

TomTom AutoStream has launched with two initial partners: Baidu and Zenuity, while TomTom MotionQ can be seen in the new Rinspeed Snap, a robo-taxi concept vehicle,also revealed for the first time at CES. TomTom AutoStream will be available for production usage in 2018.
