Nissan launches new Note Aura in Japan; enhanced e-POWER electrified powertrain

In March 2018 an e-POWER version of the popular Serena minivan was launched, which was followed by the all-new Kicks SUV e-POWER in June 2020. The Kicks e-POWER also launched in some Asian markets, expanding the availability of e-POWER technology. Since then, the Note e-POWER model has been very well received by customers.

KBB: Average new vehicle transaction price in US in December up 1.9% from November; EV ATP dropped 5.5% due to Tesla

Sales volumes in December were up year-over-year by more than 5% but down from November, due in part to improved supply. Honda and Kia showed the most price strength in the non-luxury market, transacting between 5% and 6% over sticker price in December. Five years prior, in December 2018, luxury market share set a record at 16.5%.

Chrysler to introduce PHEV models in 2016 and 2017 to meet ZEV requirements; new FCA gasoline engine family coming in 2015

IIHS: small car driver death rates remain high

From 2015 to 2018 there were 147,324 fatalities, compared with 134,905 from 2012 to 2015. For the most part, the mileage data bolstered the original findings about vehicle size and explained some notable exceptions. That’s a further increase from a low of 28 for 2011 models following a steady decline since the 1970s.

Consumer Reports: Tesla and other domestic brands take big steps backwards in reliability rankings

When compared to the average non-turbo engine among 2016-2018 models, overall, Lexus makes the most reliable turbo powertrain, followed by Honda and Porsche. While the Chrysler 300 improves to “Average,” the Pacifica minivan falls to “Below-Average.” On the other end of the spectrum, Hyundai and Mini have the most problematic turbos.
