Total OECD annual production of crude oil, natural gas liquids (NGL), and refinery feedstocks increased by 10.3% in 2018 compared to 2017, reaching a record total monthly production of over 100 million tons at the beginning of the year and remaining above this for almost all of 2018, according to the IEA.

Minimal revving reduces engine wear, oil usage and maintenance, while increasing durability and efficiency. The buses are being built at the IC Bus assembly plant in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Deliveries began in June 2016 and will be complete this summer in time for back-to-school transportation needs in the 2016-2017 school year.

In the United States, the transportation sector accounts for two-thirds of total US oil consumption and about one-third of total anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions. DOE is continuing to pursue the development of these renewable biofuels, with the goal of producing cost-competitive drop-in biofuels at $3 per gallon by 2017.

Researchers at Oklahoma State University are developing a novel natural Gas and Biomass to Liquids (GBTL) technology that will synergistically use biomass (e.g. Bio-oil produced from biomass fast pyrolysis technology can be converted into hydrocarbons; however, this process is challenging due to the instability of bio-oil.

Marathon Oil Corporation has reached a definitive agreement with Hilcorp Resources Holdings, LP to purchase its assets in the core of the Eagle Ford shale formation in Texas in a transaction valued at $3.5 billion subject to closing adjustments, customary terms and conditions, and Hart-Scott-Rodino approval.
