GM’s Maven Gig ( earlier post ) is expanding its initial offering in San Diego to now include San Francisco. Maven has been operating on-demand ridesharing rentals in San Francisco since August 2016; more than 20 million miles have been driven in San Francisco and nearly 1 million rides have been given.

Maven Gig vehicles are available for flat weekly rates that include the car, unlimited miles, insurance (minus deductibles) and maintenance. Pricing starts at $229 per week plus taxes. The Chevrolet Bolt EV with an EPA-estimated range of 238 miles is the most popular vehicle among Maven Gig drivers.

GM’s Maven Gig ( earlier post ) launched in San Francisco in November 2016 to provide vehicles for rideshare drivers; it since expanded the offering for package, grocery and food delivery drivers. Maven Gig is expanding geographically, and provides vehicles for freelance drivers in Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco.

Although the EPA has not as of this writing released the final fuel economy numbers for the US A3 e-tron, Filip Brabec, Director, Product Management, Audi of America, said that the figures will be around 83 to 86 MPGe combined (depending on the equipment level), with 35 to 39 mpg gasoline only and 16-17 miles of EV range.

Starting in 2016, the Swedish brand has included plug-in hybrid versions of pretty much every new vehicle it sells in the US. . Where it falls down is its EPA-rated range: a mere 208 miles.
