NEDO, Sharp, and Toyota to begin public road trials of electrified vehicles equipped with high-efficiency solar batteries

Japan’s NEDO, Sharp Corporation, and Toyota Motor Corporation plan to begin public road trials of electrified vehicles equipped with high-efficiency solar batteries from late July 2019. Toyota installed this panel on the roof, hood, rear hatch door, and other parts of its Prius PHV and produced a demo car for public road trials.

Bowlus Rivet luxury RV allows for ‘indefinite time’ off-grid with yacht-quality battery and solar

The Bowlus Rivet features a “yacht-quality” battery and solar power system that allows “indefinite time off-grid in all conditions.” In 2016, Bowlus launched the first lithium-powered RV, complete with a 4kWh lithium-ion power system. United announces investment in, commercial agreement with Dimensional Energy; CO2-to-SAF

Dimensional Energy was founded in Ithaca, New York, in 2016 and has spent the last six years refining its reactors and catalysts in both lab and real-world demonstrations. Dimensional has also received grants from the National Science Foundation and both the Department of Energy’s ARPA-e and Solar Energy Technology Office (SETO).

BMW i ChargeForward Program to demo contribution of intelligent EV charging to grid efficiency

The program also includes a “second life” for used MINI E batteries, by repurposing these batteries into a stationary solar-powered electric storage system located at the BMW Technology Office in Mountain View, California. Using BMW i Home Charging Services, the vehicle is charged with home-generated solar power whenever this is available.

Cal Energy awards GTI $1M grant to demo production-intent version of CWI 6.7L medium-duty natural gas engine with HD-OBD
