Greyrock Energy, a company transforming natural gas into premium transportation fuels ( earlier post ), announced a final investment decision (FID) to build a small-scale Gas-to-Liquids (GTL) facility near Houston, Texas. The plant will be commercially operational by the end of 2015.

The plant will produce cleaner gasoline from low-cost natural gas, captured bio-methane from farms and landfills, and mitigated flared gas from the Permian basin. Nacero’s Pemwell-facility in Houston, Texas. The Penwell facility will be the first gasoline manufacturer in the world to incorporate carbon capture and sequestration.
