Aluminium should be an attractive anode material for rechargeable Li-ion batteries for many reasons, such as low cost (~$2,000 ton −1 ), high theoretical capacity (2,235 mAh g −1 if Li 9 Al 4 , low potential plateau (~0.19–0.45 V V against Li + /Li 3 ), high electrical conductivity and so on.

China was originally somewhat slow to adopt EVs – in 2015, EV market share was just.84%, But with these increased tariffs, that makes it less likely that US consumers will gain access to these cheap, high-tech Chinese EVs.

So imagine a million electric cars on US roads which all need to change these batteries in say 2015. Furthermore, changing the battery pack on say a Toyota Prius often costs a fortune, at least in most European countries, so such cars better be VERY cheap, but they’re not. link] — Adam Carter 11.
