In an article “Falling thirst for Fuel Leaves Ethanol Enthusiasts with a Hangover” published on 4 May 2009, The Wall Street Journal summarized three of the challenges traditional corn ethanol faces today. The closest commercial location was just south of Chicago, so it was 7 hours over, 2 hours there and 7 hours back.
