The market was not happy about such truth telling, and Hyundai stock fell over 6 percent that day, while Kia lost 15 percent. Elon was glad too.

The second change is that, for the first time, the preliminary data for MY 2011 include MDPVs (medium-duty personal vehicles). This represents a 5% increase over MY 2009, but MY 2009 truck share was 8% lower than MY 2008. MY 2010 weight and power increased from MY 2009, but decreased relative to MY 2008.

Personally, I’m not totally convinced by the Tesla experiences I’ve had (yes, the comment section is below, fire away, fan boys and girls). Kia and Hyundai might also be seen as challengers to Tesla, but would be more so if they were $30k cheaper. It’s an enticing prospect. Outselling Tesla?

With revised pricing for all e-2008 models and enhanced deposit contributions for the e-208 range, Peugoet is latest manufacturer to respond to the recent overhaul of the UK Government’s Plug-in Car Grant. This move follows Citroen, Vauxhall and Kia who have adjusted their prices. The Peugeot e-2008 offers up 206 miles of range (WLTP).
