The GridWise smart-grid trial in the Seattle area in 2007 found that consumers lowered their energy use by 10 percent and utilities were able to shave their peak demand by 15 percent. By the way Boones plan covers: Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and North Dakota. He states this as a positive of his program.
