Sales of Ford Edge, which arrived on the market in late 2006, hit 400,000 this past weekend, the highest sales volume of any midsize crossover vehicle during the same period, according to Ford. In 2006 when Edge was introduced, the midsize crossover segment accounted for 4.3% of the retail industry.

Toyota followed with the Prius a year later, but it took GM until 2006 to introduce its first true gasoline-electric hybrid here. Used Priuses, especially the Generation 2 that were made from 2004 to 2009 are becoming a bargain to buy, especially for the MPG and features you get in return. It was time to buy our first car. I was nervous as this was the first time that I was buying a car, so the experience was new to me. Awesome, relaxing car to drive.

Ford vehicles equipped with the 1.0-liter l/100 km (57 mpg US) and thus a CO 2 figure of 94 g/km. l/100 km (48 mpg US) (equating to 113 g/km CO 2 ).
