Bridgestone is expanding its Ecopia EP422 tire line from 5 to 29 sizes in 2011 for a full power line, ranging from 15- to 18-inch tires, fitting vehicles from the Toyota Prius to the Lexus ES, Chevy Malibu, Nissan Altima and Honda Odyssey minivan. Silica to improve traction in wet conditions by increasing flexibility of the tread compound.

Beginning in MY 2005, technology has been used to increase both fuel economy (which has reduced CO 2 emissions) and power, while keeping vehicle weight relatively constant. Daimler had the biggest improvement in adjusted CO 2 emissions performance from MY 2011 to MY 2012, with a 43 g/mi reduction, followed by Honda with a 35 g/mi reduction.
