Average new vehicle horsepower (hp) was also basically unchanged in MY 2016, as the average vehicle was 1 hp higher than MY 2015.

The average allotted miles has declined from 13,060 in 2005 to 11,999 today.

BBAC, a joint venture between Daimler and its Chinese partner BAIC Motor, has been producing Mercedes-Benz passenger cars since 2005 and engines since 2013. In 2016, more than two-thirds of the Mercedes-Benz vehicles sold in China were made at BBAC. BBAC’s total local production output passed the 1,000,000-unit mark in November 2016.
