ASTM has issued a new standard— ASTM D7862-13 —covering butanol intended to be blended with gasoline at 1-12.5 BP and DuPont have been working together since 2003; in 2006, they created a partnership to develop, produce and market a next generation of biofuels, with the first planned commercialization being biobutanol.

Obama noted that last year, US oil production reached its highest level since 2003 and that for the first time in more than a decade, imported oil accounted for less than half the liquid fuel consumed. He said that the Administration has already approved 39 new shallow water permits, and an additional 7 deepwater permits in recently weeks.

Automakers agree on common plug to recharge electric vehicles by Darren Murph , posted Apr 19th 2009 at 4:24PM Just hours after General Motors put forth a proposal for a standardized plug for electric vehicles , in flies this. The US standard is 120V@60hz the UK standard is 240V@50Hz. Same goes for video cables.
