Electrified car registrations pass 100K units in Europe for 1st time in March; total reg down 3.6%; Model 3 top EV

March marked the first time that registrations of electrified cars (BEV, PHEV, HEV) exceeded the 100,000 units mark, with a total of 125,400. Last month, they recorded the lowest monthly market share since September 2000. The figures for Q1 provide a broader snapshot into the downward trend, with only 6 countries recording growth.

DENSO’s new e-compressor making world debut on Ford’s electrified vehicles

In 2005, DENSO introduced an electric compressor, jointly developed with Toyota Industries Corporation, that incorporated an inverter to drive the built-in motor. DENSO’s segment conductor wiring method, which was developed for alternators in 2000, also reduced the size of the built-in motor.
