Because of the pandemic, there was a substantial reduction in 2020 in vehicle miles traveled. Overall , vehicle miles traveled in 2020 were down 13% compared with 2019. Not coincidentally, the first Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards for new cars and light trucks became effective with 1978 model-year vehicles.

The new Movin’On by Michelin, a global summit for action on the future of mobility, will be held in Montreal, Canada on 13-15 June 2017.
