And yet, what about recharging? That means I'd have to recharge at least once. Like a lot of people, I've been thinking about trading in my car. The case, morally and even financially, for an all-electric car is becoming stronger and stronger. Can I get from Pittsburgh to New York's Hudson Valley—a trip I make a dozen times a year?

Underneath the e-fuels banner, Audi also includes renewable electricity for recharging its e-tron vehicles (“e-power”) and, should the market so require it, “green” hydrogen (e-hydrogen, derived in the e-gas process). Now we imagine the maximum scenario: e-tron plug-in hybrid drive under the hood and e-fuel in the tank.
