Fisker Automotive will begin selling its extended range electric luxury cars in Montreal, Québec. As the Karma is classified as a plug-in hybrid by Québec’s Drive Electric Program, buyers are eligible for an $8,000 rebate toward the purchase price.

Sales of plug-in cars are steady, but not overwhelming. Fisker is delivering the Karma, but not without glitches and its DOE loan is being questioned. Gas prices are at historically high levels, and have become a political football, but haven’t led to a surge in EV purchases. It just might be up to us. Aptera went under.
