(CWI) and Cummins India Ltd. CIL) announced that CIL has received purchase orders for 460 natural gas engines to customers outside of Delhi, India. The B Gas Plus and B Gas International engines, powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), are licensed by CWI and manufactured by CIL. India imports 70% of its diesel and gasoline.

Placing the focus for his company on internal efficiency, Volvo CEO Leif Johansson announced that the Group has developed its own medium heavy engine that will be used in trucks and buses from 2010. It will concentrate on internal efficiency going forward, such as by developing its own synergies.
