Ultrasonic welding in the battery pack for the Cadillac ELR

Green Car Congress

In order to establish such quality guidelines, this paper first identifies a number of critical weld attributes that determine the quality of welds by experimentally characterizing the weld formation over time using copper-to-copper welding as an example. The vehicle can be completely recharged in about 4.5

Probing the effect of CO2 on Li-air batteries

Green Car Congress

They suggested that the resulting mechanistic understanding of the chemistry of CO 2 in a Li–air cell and the interplay of CO 2 with electrolyte solvation will provide an important guideline for developing Li–air batteries. Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are based on a pair of intercalation electrodes. —Lim et al.
