As a consequence, the Midwestern states have some of the highest levels of renewable energy on their grids.

Toshiba Corporation has received an order to supply a large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) for a power frequency regulation project in Hamilton, Ohio. The BESS for the Nishi-Sendai Project is the first large-scale BESS connected to Japan’s grid. Demand for such measures has increased with the growth of renewable generation.
