They wanted to see whether an electric vehicle could feed electricity back to the grid. The company’s president, Tom Gage , dubbed the system “vehicle to grid” or V2G. And EV owners would become entrepreneurs, selling electricity back to the grid. And indeed, that’s how promoters of vehicle-to-grid technology perceive the EV.

Once the rendered tallow has been converted to renewable diesel, the finished fuel is transported an estimated 7,677 nautical miles by ocean tanker to Los Angeles. After the sugarcane has been crushed, all of the cane juice is sent to sugar production. Surplus electricity produced is exported to the local electrical grid.

Think of driving any vehicle in the hot Los Angeles summer time. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. Notice in [link] that GM carefully avoids claiming to reduce CO2 by shifting to the grid, but leads people off the track by focusing on smog related issues.
