Kia Motors introduced a new fuel efficient, ethanol-petrol powered Soul Flex as part of the Salao Internacional do Automovel in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The Soul Flex will be the first Korean flexible fuel vehicle as it can run on an ethanol-petrol mixture or even on 100 per cent ethanol or 100 per cent petrol.

Car manufacturers continue to jump on the hybrid car bandwagon, and now you can add Kia Motors to the list. The hybrid system comprises of a converter, inverter, 180V lithium-ion polymer battery and an electric motor. It has fuel economy of 42mpg with petrol equivalent fuel economy at 51mpg.
